Facility Overview

Our story at AFC Elastomers is one of continuous evolution. Established in 1974 as a specialist in rubber parts for pumps and gas regulators, our journey has been defined by a relentless pursuit of innovation. We didn’t stop there; in the 1980s and 90s, we expanded into rubber to metal bonding to serve heavy industrial uses.

This culture of innovation led to many significant milestones, including the introduction of FDA grade compounds in 2000, enabling us to serve the food and water contact industries. In 2008, we pioneered Injection and Vacuum Compression Molding, and our state of the art facility was consolidated in 2015. Most recently, the successful implementation of our IATF 16949 certification in 2023 cemented our position as a leader in automotive grade precision.

Integrated Industrial Campus

At our integrated industrial campus near Vadodara, we control every critical stage of production. This includes in house rubber compounding, where we create custom blends like Fluoroelastomers (FKM), EPDM, and Silicone to withstand specific environmental stresses. We then employ advanced molding technologies, including Injection and Vacuum Compression Molding, to achieve complex geometries with zero flash lines. This vertical integration guarantees consistency and speed, delivering mission critical parts for industries ranging from gas regulators to submersible pumps.

Our focus on quality is not just a promise it’s backed by global certifications like IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015, and validated by our state of the art in house lab. Here, every material and prototype undergoes rigorous testing for properties like tensile strength and compression set. We use Vision Inspection Systems to ensure every component is defect-free. This culture of precision means when our parts ship out, you receive proven, reliable, and certified components.

AFC

FAQ

A: AFC offers both elastomer-only and fabric-reinforced rubber diaphragms. These diaphragms are used in gas pressure regulators to maintain consistent output pressure and prevent gas leakage. Reinforced variants are bonded with nylon or polyester fabric and made from materials like NBR and EPDM, offering durability under high pressure and temperature.
A: Yes. AFC manufactures a variety of customised components for the gas industry, including rubber discs, rubber seats, gaskets, washers, joint packing, and bottom seals. These are developed using Nitrile (NBR) and tailored to client specifications.
A: AFC produces rubber-to-metal bonded parts such as bearing bushes and wear rings, commonly used in pumps and rotating systems. These components combine rubber elements with MS, SS, or gun-metal inserts, offering structural stability and fluid sealing.
A: AFC supplies bearing seals that block contaminants like dust and moisture, while retaining lubrication. Materials include Viton (FKM), ACM, and NBR. For pumps, AFC manufactures oil seals that prevent water or fluid from entering motor housings, using NBR, Viton, or EPDM.
A: Yes. AFC develops specialised parts for export clients, including plastic molded parts, bellows, dampers, and other rubber components used in chimneys, automobiles, and engineering systems. These are manufactured majorly in EPDM, Neoprene, Viton, GLT and other rubber compound as requested by our customers.
A: Yes. AFC’s rubber compounds comply with European Standard EN549 for gas equipment, and meet FDA, REACH, and RoHS requirements for environmental and food-contact safety.
A: AFC develops rubber compounds of varying hardness levels using materials such as NBR, EPDM, Viton, Neoprene, and more—tailored to specific performance needs like oil resistance, temperature resistance (high as well as low), flexibility, abrasion resistant etc.
